Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Lawyer with 1 to 5 years post-call experience to join our reputable firm. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experienced attorneys to provide legal support and representation to our clients. The role will primarily involve conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court proceedings, and providing strategic advice on legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation sessions.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of legal matters.
- Assist senior attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised institution.
- Called to the Nigerian Bar with 1 to 5 years of post-call experience.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and analytical thinking.
- Prior litigation experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools.
- Must be eligible to practice law in Nigeria.
